A Message to fourthwall and those visiting this website.
i am on the lookout for alternatives to fourthwall, as i am NOT supporting genAI features for creating merch. if i have to order prints from staples and stickers from stickerapp or vograce to sell on etsy, so be it. doing everything myself and learning from it is better than supporting the thing that takes human creativity out of creating.
Generative AI is not a new innovative tool for creators like me to use. its not the transition from horse drawn carriges to cars. its not the transition from paint and canvas to screens and styluses. it is writing down a sentence and generating an image that has no meaning to anyone. like ordering doordash from a steakhouse and posting it to instagram like you made it.
i started to learn how to draw from copying pokemon cards during class in Jr high. before that, i was drawing my own characters referencing my little pony and fnaf. i even used bases from deviant art for my first several digital pieces as a kid with mspaint, before my dad got the family a drawing tablet. then, i learned how layers work. then, i kept drawing. i took art class in high school. then, after a while of improving and drawing, my motivation took a nosedive. my adhd was making it difficult to get the motivation for anything creative. but with getting back on adhd meds in july 2026, i got back into it. shortly after i got back on meds, my motivation skyrocketed! i learned more in that first week of meds for video editing than i did in a year of it. then i also made my favourite ever art piece! (Shearwater's Banishment) if youre struggling with adhd or other neurospicy conditions, talk to someone. try out different medications if you can. there are ways to manage and push through it.
my goal for art fight 2026 was to do 7, maybe 8 attacks. i finished 9. 9 different drawings in a month. some even with several different characters in it. i even did a comic as my first attack!
tldr; im leaving fourthwall. dont give up on drawing, or making art! i started with copying pokemon card art, i believe in you!
